Kind of makes you wonder what’s happening up on the roof. Speaking of which, you really haven’t seen Blade Runner ‘til you’ve seen it dubbed, not terribly well, into German.
Well David, I hate to be a buzzkill, but the Royal York's roof isn't crawling with replicants reminiscing about the good old days at the Tannhauser Gates. It's actually crawling with kitchen employees, tending the large rooftop garden.
I did some contract programming for a tenant in the large middle office tower, TD Bank. One day, we had a team meeting in a room that overlooked the hotel roof. Imagine my surprise when I walked to the window to take in the view, and saw a white-uniformed kitchen assistant across from me, clipping fresh herbs with a pair of shears.
Still, it's a beautiful photograph. BTW the 'Earthlings' photo is now my computer desktop photo.
I’ve a vague feeling I saw a few minutes of that on TV. Not the few minutes with the hotel, though. Wasn’t it aired as “Brainstorm” or “Brainslug” or something exciting?
Dutch,
“It’s actually crawling with kitchen employees, tending the large rooftop garden.”
Ah. That’s what they want you to think. Holograms, obviously.
Is it staffed entirely by on-the-run Replicants?

David,
Have you seen this film? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0284978/
I think it uses this hotel.
