Funny How Quickly the Day Can Turn to Shit

Amazing just how bad it can get in under a minute.

AmbushPredator

I just knew that hole in the foreground was going to have a starring role!

I can’t help thinking that with a few seconds of calm, a couple of deep breaths, the day might have played out in a less alarming fashion.

rabbit

The Obama administration in 61 seconds.

Chinese drivers - no survivors.

"I just knew that hole in the foreground was going to have a starring role!"

That's what's called "foreshadowing". Far too obvious, though, really. Very unsubtle. Someone should fire the director.

Hilarious, but does anyone know if be was OK?

Rob

I live in China. That seemed to be an entirely normal traffic pattern.

I nearly had a cardiac arrest, watching that. Poor bugger, and then after all that, you fall into...

After the fourth crash/near miss you'd think he'd take a minute to get his bearings.

I think part of what makes it funny – injuries aside – is that many of us have probably done something similar, albeit on a less dramatic scale. One minor mishap leads to another, which makes you drop something or knock something else over, which gets you annoyed and flustered, which makes you bump into someone else, etc. I once suffered an avalanche of minor indignities due to a dropped spoon. Though, mercifully, I didn’t fall out the window or set the sofa on fire.

After that, scooterman climbed out of the hole and blew his nose on the sidewalk, just before pushing an elderly lady aside to buy the last cardboard pork flavored dumpling in the local shop.
That's china today.

Don't leave us hanging, David…

Oh, just let your mind roam with the basic ingredients - a dropped spoon, a carton of milk, an open cupboard door, some shouted epithets and a rather startled hamster. You can pretty much write your own comedy sketch.

Jon H.

Just GOLD! Allwe need now are the Keystone Kops...

Karen M

and a rather startled hamster.

...???

Mr. Saturn

Well that escalated quickly.

Rob

This is exactly what happens when people don't stop and think.

"an open cupboard door,"

A raised open cupboard door, I.e. the bottom of which is about 3-4 ft above the floor? Ideal territory for cracking the backs of heads on when rising from an expedition to retrieve a spoon?

I recall playing in a league darts match at a pub. I wasn't playing well and stopped to retrieve a dart from the floor. On rising I cracked my head on a shelf below the board, hard enough to reel. Strangely enough, I played really well after that and stormed to a win.

BRAVO! BRAVISSIMO!

At least his passenger was wise enough to stay away after the first fall.

Spiny Norman

The Sum of All Fails.

After the second "doink", I would have called it a day.

Nelson Poe

Did he pop out on the other side, over here. Pray not. We have enough mopeds now.

Peter

Haha! What a loser!

Nobody

Needs the Benny Hill theme song.

It's always handy to have a cistern nearby.
