Thank the gods. The Battlestar Galactica toaster has arrived.
For a mere $65 you can now scorch Cylons onto bread. Sadly, the device lacks the familiar roving red light and ominous hum. And it seems that Pop-Tarts may be incompatible with the technology.

Gosh, they’re very pretty. Though I’m not sure I’d want to recline on them with a dish of peeled grapes.

Won't the bread be toasted unevenly? And shouldn't the corners be missing?

Maybe we can look forward to limited edition loaves of BSG sliced bread with obligatory missing corners. I’m guessing many of the toasters will be kept in the original packaging and never see a loaf of bread. That said, it’s only a matter of time before individual slices appear on eBay, bagged in Mylar.
