“I’ve always had this really strong appreciation for… dark.”
I think you’ll like this. Here’s the trailer for Jeanie Finlay’s Goth Cruise, a documentary following 150 Goths on a five day sea journey from New Jersey to Bermuda and back again. With 2,500 “Norms” for company. Brace yourselves for some coloured hair and collective non-conformism.
“I’m really not Goth. I enjoy the aspect of the music… and the dressing up. But when it comes down to it, I don’t think I fit the Goth template.”
LOL. Love the guy packing his "fuck consensus reality" T-shirt.

"I'm a classic elder Goth."
Do they do action figures? I want to collect the set.

Gosh. There’s a whole sun-friendly Goth subgroup. I should have guessed. I did once visit Whitby on a fiercely hot day and saw a hardcore Goth striding about in the obligatory regalia, complete with metal breastplate.

Non-conformists that conform to the Goth standard decide to bring a film crew on their crew to show off how non-conformist and freaky they are.
Gosh, how non-conformist and anti-social.

"You're not going to be the only one with weird hair colour on the ship. You're not going to be the only one with tattoos or piercings."
That individualism's a real bitch.
