Apparently TypePad was hit with an “aggressive and sustained” DDoS attack lasting several days, hence the recent disappearance of this blog and thousands of others. A ransom was demanded, the FBI are involved, all very exciting. So, what else did I miss?
The Observer was up to the usual standard: "Does it matter if two feminists pose with their hand on their hip?"

“Does it matter if two feminists pose with their hand on their hip?”
Heh. Clearly, the world needs instructing in the correct, feminist way to stand when being photographed for a leftwing newspaper.

Yes, it’s a comical fudge; glib but very bold. Maybe Yvonne Roberts belatedly realised how dogmatic and absurd she was sounding. But if you think of her article as another exercise in social positioning, which so many of these things are, the “does it matter?” cop-out is less jarring. If Ms Roberts was trying to let us know that she still has her lecture notes from the 1970s, and therefore still belongs, then whether her article bears any kind of scrutiny is almost beside the point. Her credentials have been displayed. That’s what counts.

I don’t have much to add to that, er, piece. Aesthetically compelling as I’m sure it was, what with Ms Moiré “creating mental doors” and all that, I kept feeling sorry for whoever had to position, then reposition, the little black squares.

There's an uncensored version available from the artists web site, at a price.

David,
There are very skilled people out there spending years of their lives researching the algorithms that one day, will do this taxing work for us.
In that glorious future, these people will surely be awarded the Nobel peace prize, like their colleagues in the IPCC did for their similar algorithmic achievements.
Love,

"The overwhelming message from the media today is that a woman’s body parts mean more than she does, say Holly Baxter and Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett, founders of the blog, The Vagenda, and now the book of the same name."
I'm going to start a blog called the Daily Testiclegraph. Or possibly the Scrotean Times. Or the People's Frenum.

These people probably see nothing wrong in Kim Jong Un ordering 'approved' haircuts. So a feminist view on one's stance in a photo wouldn't be odd or controlling to them.

Ahh, so that's what happened? I naturally assumed that you'd finally come to realise the inevitable triumph of the Fascist Left and turned yourself in for re-education.
