Love the f-bomb directed at her mother.

You know, it used to be when people got older they fudged memories/anecdotes about excelling at stuff like high school football or winning a spelling be. Now it's trying to make one's life shittier than it actually was.

Marvelous.

Dr Cromarty

We used to live in an 'ole in't ground and when he got 'ome Our Dad used to lash us to sleep wi'his belt.

Col. Milquetoast

I'm disappointed that the comment "Also, one more inappropriate comment, and I will block you on FB" was by the daughter and not by the mother. Additionally, I'm disheartened that the mother's comment could be considered "inappropriate."

Jimmy

Words fail me.

Also, one more inappropriate comment, and I will block you on FB

Ah, the home life of the budding social justice warrior. You can practically hear the adolescent door slam.

I suppose that if you’re going to make envy a big part of your politics and identity, if resentment and seething is the way to signal virtue, then it helps to have some pretext, even an exaggerated or fabricated one. It’s the modern way.

ACTOldFart

OT (but perhaps not because it is all about adolescent tantrums) I notice in your popular searches list that Lena Dunham has bounced Laurie Penny as the most searched. In fact, LP is now down to No 3 after Dunham and Owen Jones. Can we expect the hissy fit and the claw scratching any time soon?

Jonathan

Hilarious, but when did 'Factually Correct' come to equal 'Inappropriate'?

R. Sherman:

or winning a spelling be.

Sorry, but this just had to be repeated. :-p

Tim Newman

The older I get, the poorer I was.

Spiny Norman

Perfect.

@Ted.

I know. Saw it this morning. *Hangs head in same*

R. Sherman

"Shame," dammit.

“Shame,” dammit.

Fetch the scolding chair.

We had less money than you did when you were growing up, and you know that.

The Pity Train departs often from that station.

Shaaaaaame! Come baaaaaack!

I'm just surprised it wasn't Laurie Penny.

Oh, gads, David, another person who wants segregation so that people of color are "safe:" http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/aeman-ansari/ethnic-safe-spaces_b_6897176.html

Oh, and what a little bitch that Facebook twit is. I hope Mom has a Come to Jesus moment with her soon.

When fourth year journalism students think in such absurdly cartoonish and question-begging terms - because they’ve been taught to - then it doesn’t bode well for either academia or journalism.

Timbo

"It was a very poor house; the maid was poor, the cook was poor, the chauffeur was poor..."
