Woke Jack not woke enough.

David

Woke Jack not woke enough.

Flying halfway around the world to a meditation retreat and then bragging about it, to millions of people, in excruciating detail. The kind of person Jack is is becoming more clear to me.

Jen

The kind of person Jack is is becoming more clear to me.

He's the Edina Monsoon of Twitter.

Jen

Oh, and here’s the toilet door you’ve always wanted.

Thanks for adding to my nightmares.

The episode confirmed something I already knew but polyamorists go to great lengths to deny: they are simply not normal. Now I don’t care what polyamorists do, but the idea that these are ordinary, well-adjusted people who simply choose another relationship arrangement is not borne out by the evidence. As I’m fond of saying, for many this is less a lifestyle choice than a coping mechanism, and despite protestations from polyamorists, a lot of them seem to end up hurt or making their existing condition worse.

Tim Newman, here.

Thanks for adding to my nightmares.

It does have the makings of a comedy sketch.

I've taken a look at the recent 'hall pass for women at Christmas' at my blog:

Woke Jack not woke enough.

Indeed, but one would think that with all his money he could afford to buy some shoulders.

Meanwhile in The Great White North, however, Montreal is struggling with politically incorrect killer bagels.

But today we live in new times when health and safety concerns often clash with traditions — and Montreal’s wood-fired bagel is under fire.

In recent years, some people living near bagel shops have complained about fumes and wood particles emitted from bagel-baking ovens.

My anti wood-burning bagel friends claim they are the most dangerous kind of air particle and speak of “bagels that kill.”

I don't know about anyone else, but to me me this is a crisis, because the first thing I think of when I hear "Montreal" is bagels, something the French Canadians are as famous for as Brooklyn is for maple syrup.

Theresa May discusses Brexit.

Farnsworth M Muldoon

Meanwhile, a headline, though it may be a chicken and egg thing.

R. Sherman

Hey, Kids! It's Christmas! Sweet dreams!

Farnsworth M Muldoon

Move over France, this is what a real and important protest looks like.

David

this is what a real and important protest looks like.

I miss shame.

Farnsworth M Muldoon

Mean while, back in headlines, shot, chaser.

Is Paris Burning ?

Unintended photo irony.

Unintended consequences.

that and wearing his Apple watch while meditating at his 'no distractions', so-basic-much-wow retreat.

WTP

Wait, I thought we were back to calling it Burma. And isn’t the leader of the ruling party there Aung Sang Soo Kyi, a woman and a Nobel Peace Prize winner? Now they’re the bad guys? I feel so uninformed.

jabrwok

I miss shame.

Decorum was nice too.

WTP

Unintended photo irony.

Heh. Speaking of being uninformed, does anyone know if this UN declaration of migration as a human right explicitly state that emigration is a human right? That part I would agree with. The Castros and Kims of the world not so much. Not to mention, does the UN recognize as a human right to leave a religion as well?

David

Decorum was nice too.

Well, it does seem that shame is an important aspect of long-term course correction. And somewhat adjacent to conscience.

David

Re the above, I’m not referring to the underwear protest particularly. Just a general thought.

Farnsworth M Muldoon

Blasphemy ? There is an app for that.

Google: "Don't be evil, alhamdulillah."

Baceseras

I feel so uninformed

"Myanmar is an absolutely beautiful country. The people are full of joy and the food is amazing."

Better now?

Swiping the Bigfoot Erotica link for my Gab group. I'll tell everyone there to follow you and be your friend. You are a remarkable man, David, I can't see how you so consistently find this bounty of twisted content.

Actually, yes, then I'll reformat the hard drive, bleach my eyes, and take to drinking heavily.

Lancastrian Oik

Jesus H. Christ, Muldoon. We’ve always got on well here, but after that I’m gonna sue you personally.

Farnsworth M Muldoon

David, please slide a double Campari and Night Nurse to Mr. Oik on me, please.

David

[ Slides large Night Nurse and Advocaat along bar.]

We’re out of Campari.

Richard Cranium

I'll take that as a sign to not click that link from the work computer.

time passes

Yes, that was good idea to use the phone instead. I think those two have been posted here before. Or it was one of zombie's freakshow photo lineups.

Farnsworth M Muldoon

Advocaat - this is certainly a place of learning, but have the perfidious Dutch no shame ? That is almost as horrifying as lutefisk which I believe has been banned by the Hague Conventions outside of Scandinavia and Minnesota.

TimT

Fun and games when the particularly sharp parody SJW account Titiana McGrath was recently banned from twitter. Why? It's still not clear. (She first appeared after Godfrey Elfwick was banned for the last time: could she be the same person?)

Anyway, she's back now, and credits 'some guy I met at a Vipassana meditation' for getting her account back up. Some *guy*, Titiana? For shame! Never genuflect to the cisheteropatriarchalgemony!

(She first appeared after Godfrey Elfwick was banned for the last time: could she be the same person?)
Same person or not, they were banned/suspended for the same reason: humorless SJW scolds mass-reported them and the suspension was automatic. Godfrey was unfortunate that he didn't have someone with apparent "insider" access.

How hard must it be for camerawoman and student Alaa Nasir? I mean when you move to a foreign country, the last thing you expect to hear are positive self-expressions from the natives. How would you feel to hear Muslims say something good about themselves in Riyadh? Hopefully you’ll never have to find out. But this young lady did, and that was after she only got into Columbia instead of Princeton. How much more evidence of white privilege do you need? I’d probably wrap an apron around my head as well.

Lancastrian Oik

I’ve only just come round. That wasn’t advocating... avocado.... evocative.... that Dutch shite, or Night Nurse either. Last thing I remember it was three o’clock in the morning and we were watching “The Right Stuff” again, which is a pretty cruel irony if you ask me.

David

that Dutch shite,

As a wee seedling at Christmas, I remember feeling very grown-up and sophisticated when my gran would pour me a small glass of Warnink’s Advocaat and lemonade.

It reeked of class.

Lancastrian Oik

It reeked of class.

My shoes reek of something else.

Farnsworth M Muldoon

@Murray Alper,

The best part, by which I mean generally disgusting, is the "Twitter, do your thing..." comment. IOW, all you Woke™ SOBs gang up and trash this guy's life for expressing an opinion I don't like (AKA SJW Twitter SOP #1).

The amount of stupidity in the comments, though, is enough to make me reach for an Advocaat and Terpin Hydrate, and we'll gloss over the fact that Miss Aala is at Columbia in NYC and, oddly enough, not at a university in some mid-East country.

Spiny Norman

Farnsworth

The one about "Africa was the most advanced region in the world until white men showed up and enslaved them" is either the most idiotic (among many) in that timeline, or truly epic trolling.

Farnsworth M Muldoon

... either the most idiotic (among many) in that timeline, or truly epic trolling.

Alas, Spiny, there are many people who actually believe that, though they seem unable to explain how Teh Most Advanced Civilization Evar came to be enslaved by whom they call "European cavemen".

"Steve Jobs was a Syrian refugee" is pretty choice too, though I didn't know San Francisco, where he was born, was part of Syria in 1955.

Hal

"Steve Jobs was a Syrian refugee" is pretty choice too . . . .

. . . . Not finding that one. D'ye have a link?

Jobs does get mentioned in there.

Specifically,

. . . also Steve Jobs who was of Syrian descent, . . .

. . . And then he was born in San Francisco . . .
