And now for something completely different...
You know a snowball fight is serious when the cops respond with pepper balls.

We’ve been doing this a lot lately. Page two-ing, I mean.
I should charge extra.

Is your circle of internet fans growing, or are we regulars just getting more... chatty?

On the contrary, in economics, increased output usually leads to lower prices. I patiently await my refund.

Yes, and yes.
I patiently await my refund.
I’m sorry, I can’t hear you above the noise of the crowd.

Huh!
David's offering excuses now, instead of credit notes.
Wtf?

I’m now processing the thought that there are professors of journalism, at Columbia, who teach “courses on hip-hop” - because that’s a cornerstone of journalism, apparently - while tiptoeing around the word in question, which is, they admit, “ubiquitous” in hip-hop.
It’s some dance they do, our betters.

The $64,000 question is why the hell a "professor of history and medieval studies" is pushing James Baldwin, even though I realize the 1960s are ancient history to the current crop of students (and I use the term loosely).
Why, other than being a cheesedick*, he didn't tell the students, particularly the non-enrolled ones, to shut it and bugger off is the next question.
*("He then went on medical leave due to stress." Mystery solved)

Then, he said, several nonenrolled students attended the next class session, saying they were there to observe, as leaders within the honors program. Students in the class then asked Adamo to leave to discuss the situation.
The prof thought he was Radical Chic with his readings from James Baldwin and Ta-Genius Coates, but he ended up reenacting Mau-Mauing the Flak Catchers, with himself in the most humiliating role.
He's reaping what he's sowed. He tried to strike a blow against Badwhites, and he ends up getting it good and hard himself.

The Scandinavians who built Minnesota were hard men who weren't intimidated by an Arctic winter or a burning at the stake. Their descendants, unfortunately, have developed the same naivety and ethnomasochism as their cousins from the old country.
