Daniel, you've misread the article.

No, I haven't.

Camilla, of the Reparations Hour, is the sacked employee who started the witch hunt.

Yes. And the owners hired her. The article indicates a number of red flags on Camilla's part that should have given the owners pause long before it reached the point of sacking, yet they continured to promote her.

As I said, they knowingly hired an SJW wokeling into a position of middle management. That shouldn't be a business-ending mistake, but increasingly it is, and as the Bosun's Mate pointed out the owners are not entirely innocent of participating in such behaviour themselves.

"I noticed that this same business was quite ready, willing, able, and did play that same virtue-signaling game (opting not to do a large amount of business with) another Portland small business that came within the crosshairs of the perpetually offended coterie of malcontents."

Boatswain's Mate, I think I saw the same comment and it's hard to know what they're talking about - if they are actually talking about anything. What is the 'other' Portland small business referred to and what did Portland rentamobs get offended by?

Alex

TimT, the relevant comment is this one. Quote:

"However I remember another similar social justice mob action a couple years ago against a new restaurant that opened up called Saffron Colonial. The SJWs were outraged that the owner was celebrating “colonialism”. They organized a boycott and picketed the restaurant.

Ristretto Roasters was one of the local purveyors that severed ties with Saffron Colonial as a result. They stopped selling Saffron Colonial’s baked goods at their coffee shops."

That's it, Alex.

Eventually, la terreur comes for thee, M. Robespierre.

David

That’s it, Alex.

The words bully and lunch money come to mind.

I'm reminded of the first season ("series" to y'all ovair) episode of The Simpsons titled "Bart the General," where Bart (with help) has to take on school bully Nelson and his young henchkids. Once Nelson is defeated and subdued, the "follow any leader" henchkids immediately denounce Nelson and, in Nuerenburg-style, claim they were "only following orders."

The "go along to get along" types that play footsie with the committed (and boy, do they need to be) SJW mobster Maolings need to learn, and learn fast, that doing fealty to the ravenous appetites of the mob is no guarantee that they won't be next because someone in their employ wore a white t-shirt to work one day, wholly unaware that that had been determined 90 minutes ago to be a grievous and heinous act of oppression and colonization and that must be punished without regard to cost or mercy.

So paying the Danegeld doesn't rid one of the Dane?! Who'da thunk it?
