"Asking for people to be peaceful is white supremacy"
Kafka-trapping in the round?
Sadly, though not surprisingly, related - this.

Even dogs are voting now.

You know who’s probably having a chuckle from the grave? Ayn Rand.

Dems have been having a great time over the past 5 years calling Trump supporters Nazis, Fascists, Racists, Xenophobes, Traitors, Un-American and Deplorable. They've also said nothing about the beatings, shootings( A,B,C) and stabbings of Trump supporters by BLM/ Antifa.

It was H L Mencken who said: "Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard."
Although Dems hardly represent the common people, they're getting what they wanted good and hard now. I hope they get more of it.

Maybe it should be called the All Souls Election
The Saints came marching in - to the voting booths.

I pointed out this exact thing in a discussion with a friend of a friend on FB recently when she said that under Trump "hate crimes are up 200%". She came back with a dismissive, "Yes. Sure. Whatever you think". If they didn't see it on MSM, it never happened. And that's a large part of the country.

The trick is to make them live by the rules they impose on others. Something increasingly difficult in the new caste system.

Unfortunately, my in-laws (elderly, one with early signs of dementia) are certain Trump's the antiChrist, thanks to CNN and the BBC and the local rag of a newspaper.
Best joke: Driving home, I passed a house with a handmade sign cheering "Return to decency." Never mind AOC and other advocating making lists of Trump supporters, and that "peaceful protest is white supremacy."

Trading Biden for Trump is like shitting your pants and changing your shirt.

Nah. It's just shitting your pants. The only pair you've had for four years.

I hate them all now. Not sorry. I read and listen to the things they say about White people and straight people. I listen when they say they want to abolish me, to silence me, to kill me. I hear what they want to teach my kids ... and I hate them deeply.

How much more pleasant -- though perhaps not realistic -- if the call from the mob had been:
"Good sir! A moment of your time if you please. Your sign is not large enough and you have not included the approved pronouns. Nor is it in a language many of our friends settling here may understand. I see cause here for confusion. Please amend it forthwith!"

How much more pleasant…
More pleasant still would be to watch the bullying human garbage being hosed into the sea.

hosed into the sea...
...which would probably want to throw them back.

Sooner or later, everyone comes around to the idea of helicopters.

Quite a few people, far too many, seem to imagine that being a good person, or a nice person, somehow entails tolerating practised malevolence. Even when it’s menacing them on their own doorsteps.
I do not share this view.

One can do what one can to place before mankind the common sense of the subject, in terms so plain and firm as to command their assent.
And even so, the NPC will still gibber about the idea of helicopters.

There's certainly gibbering going on.

The Mary Wollstonecraft statue is getting quite a reception.
I particularly enjoyed the replies to this tweet.

I think may favourites are those where it is assumed the artist is male.
To quote Simon Evans: "The Wollstoncraft statue story is two parts Spinal Tap, one part The Thick of It."

This does not bode well, I think, for Harvard Libraries:
