Activate the dimensional aperture. || Shadow detected. (h/t, Damian) || Deep nostalgia. || “Depression checking,” a thread. || Interactive UK crime map. || Poorly paw. || A comforting presence. || We’re getting one or two sparks. || Some new-phone pornography. Ooh, ooh, he’s peeling the film. || A glimpse of your improved, progressive future. || Harassing random children for woke cred. || More scenes of human cunning. Or are they Cybermen? || Easy come, easy go. || Gents, start your engines. || Those are some of these. || Today’s word is ambition. || Bowling alley tour of note. || Meanwhile, in academia. || Mirage of note. || The thrill of hammer restoration. || And finally, relaxingly, just time for a little TV.

Harry Palms and the Self Abusers
Are you sure that's not the title of some Harry Potter fan fiction?

"radical act of self love"
In related news, feminists decide that pussy hats are not enough:
Paris celebrates the clitoris with giant inflatable facing Eiffel Tower
"8 March 2021, 9:28 am
A five-metre high inflatable clitoris is erected on 'human rights square' in Paris, facing the Eiffel Tower at Trocadero for International Women's Day. The installation is by campaigners from the "Gang du Clito" who say they chose a 'symbolic' location facing the 'most famous phallus in Paris which is the Eiffel Tower'."
If men wore penis hats and waved giant dildos we would rightly laugh at them in contempt, but somehow we are supposed to honor and respect these feminists.

In other news, there was a Black Lives Matter riot in Liege, Belgium yesterday. It's not clear if the rioters are angry that a black criminal was arrested/shot, or that black illegal immigrants are not given more free stuff, or what.

“A radical act of self love.”
Twisted.

Twisted.
Again, if your professed philosophy entails regarding abortion as something to publicly celebrate as an act of love - “radical self-love” – then this has rather unhappy, one might say sociopathic, connotations. And all of those regurgitated slogans, all that feminist chest-puffing, may not be sufficient to entirely hide the dissonance. Which may explain why so much posturing of this kind has an unconvincing, brittle, quality. It may also explain the incidence of depression.

All of the links work for me.

All of the links work for me.
Huh. They work for me, too, now. It must have been a real but temporary problem, as I tried those links on two different devices last night.
I was casually poking around in the archives, which is always enjoyable.

Those archive links work for me as well, although the Ms Birbalsingh video is now unavailable. As is Darleen's linked tweet All hail #3.
Well dang - didn't get there quickly enough to see what the tweet was.

It’s what they’re for.

It’s what they’re for.
But beware what Nietzsche said: When you stare into the archives, the archives stare back.
